How to Dry Eucalyptus Branches & Other Flowers - Vintage Way
Fresh flowers are beyond beauty but they die and we miss them :( I know it's amazing sentence to start a HOW TO DRY FLOWERS blog post but you know, drying them beautifully keeps them look still crisp in colour and sturdy.
1. Cut the excess branches
Cutting excess empty branches which don't have leaves and flowers keeps you flower more crisp and keeps it away from rotting. Excess branches may cause dampness and flowers may fade into a bad brown colour.
2. Cut branches into smaller parts
Cutting them into smaller parts so they will dry more easily.
3. Get a wire or thin twine
Yes, tie them upside down in a dark and cool place. No sun may touch the flowers or leaves so their colour will be protected. You can cover them up in news papers too if you doubt there is light touching them.
4.Wait between 1-2 weeks
It doesn't take much time to the flowers to get dried, but if it is winter it may take longer time.
